Does the VA Community Care Network pay for health coaching?

Short answer

We found no source showing coaching is a covered VA Community Care Network service. Coaching for Medicare-eligible veterans seen in community practice is billed to Medicare under 0591T–0593T, not to the VA.

The VA runs Whole Health coaching inside VA facilities. Community providers should not imply VA payment for coaching. Health Coach Codes is not affiliated with or endorsed by the VA.
