Can coaching time also count toward CCM or other time-based services?

Short answer

Don't count the same minutes twice. Time documented for a coaching session shouldn't also be counted toward a CCM monthly threshold or another time-based code. Confirm overlap rules and edits with your billing team and MAC.

The final coaching rule doesn't address interaction with CCM or other care-management services. Keep coaching notes and care-management time logs separate.
