Help center · Who furnishes and who bills
Can a solo, private-practice coach bill Medicare for coaching?
Short answer
Not on their own. A coach needs a relationship with an eligible practitioner who supervises and bills, such as employment, a contract, or affiliation with a community-based organization working with a practice.
Many solo coaches will reach Medicare patients by partnering with practices. Any contracting or reassignment arrangement should be reviewed by healthcare counsel before you rely on it.
