Help center · Who furnishes and who bills
Does the coach receive the Medicare payment?
Short answer
No. Medicare pays the billing practitioner. How a coach is compensated is set by their employment or contract with the practice or organization, not by Medicare.
Be wary of anyone promising coaches "per-session Medicare income." Payment flows to the practitioner and depends on coverage, medical necessity, locality and MAC processing.
