Do patients need to consent to health coaching?
Short answer
The final rule doesn't address consent for coaching. Many organizations use a coaching consent form that explains the service and possible cost sharing; follow your organization's policy and state law.
The toolkit includes a sample consent form with a cost-sharing notice to adapt with your compliance team.
